Sunday School

This year we are “Following in His Footsteps” in Children’s Sunday School! The fun begins on Rally Day, Sunday, September 11, 2011.

We want to partner with you in your child’s Christian education and hope that our curriculum, Spark, will help to do that. Spark is a fun based curriculum that teaches kids how to apply the Bible to their lives each week while learning about God’s love! Yet, research shows that the most powerful influence on children’s faith development is the conversations about faith that take place in the home.

Each week your child may receive a take-home paper that includes ideas for family discussions and activities that will help cement what your child learns in Sunday School. If your child is not attending church with you, be sure you let them know what you learned in church, through the readings and the sermons. Because our curriculum is lectionary based, families often hear the same message, in worship and in children’s Sunday School. Join us for a year of FUN while growing in faith in Sunday School!

Our classes range from preschool age to grade 5. Three year olds must be 3 by September 30, 2011, to register. Again this year— we will be offering a parent/child class for 2 and 3-year olds!
